St. Joe’s has a rich tradition in the performing arts and our students learn many valuable skills from putting on a show like this. A musical brings together all of the arts in one program: music and dance, language skills, and social skills, while students learn the importance of listening to each other and the value of taking risks while building their self-confidence. Musical performance is a wonderfully creative outlet for many of our students. A show like this would not have been possible without the love and support of so many people. Thank you to Julie Capirchio and Fr. Stowe for their steadfast support. Katie Carras encouraged our actors during many rehearsals, Kelly Marino and our teachers coached the younger grades in their songs, and many parents and alumni volunteered their varied talents behind the scenes. Thank you, all! Much love and thanks to our wonderful cast. In many ways, having a double cast is a lot like producing two separate plays, but we couldn’t disappoint the many students who wanted their chance to shine under the lights. You have accomplished so much and we are very proud of every one of you! Remember, if you can do this, you can do anything! Finally, this show was only possible with the time and talents of Jeni Bullock and Amanda Wilmouth, our amazing choreographers and assistant directors. Their creativity, skill, enthusiasm, and love for the children made this production a joy to produce. Thank you! Please enjoy our school’s production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Jr.!
