Spiritual Life
In the Catholic tradition, St. Joseph School sees spiritual formation as integrally connected to the academic, social, emotional, and physical development of the whole child. Through in-class and school wide liturgy, prayer, and service projects, we provide opportunities that enable our students to respond to the Spirit's call to find God in all people and all things, live for and with other in a community.
Mass
Students attend Mass on all Holy Days of Obligation and Mass on the first Friday of each month. Under the direction of their teacher, students in grades 1 through 8 plan and participate in a Mass for the school community. With many parents and grandparents attending these liturgies there is a true sense of community.
Sacraments
Second grade students prepare for and receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation and First Communion.
Students in grades three through grade eight receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation four times each year: September, during Advent, during Lent, and June. Second grade students receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation twice a year: during lent and June.

Prayer
Each morning before the school day begins and again at the end of the day before dismissal we stop for a brief moment of reflection and prayer. Throughout the school day teachers and students take a moment of prayer in their classrooms. Athletic teams and extracurricular clubs pray before events.
Service
At St. Joseph School students, parents, and staff participate in many service activities. Middle school students are required to perform fixed amounts of service hours as part of the religion curriculum.
