Health Services St. Joseph School has a full-time registered nurse on site each school day. Mrs. Garrett, school nurse, assists in maintaining a healthy an safe school environment for all students and staff.
St. Joseph School is constantly reviewing our policies and procedures to help keep your children and the SJS community safe and healthy. With that said, SJS is requesting that families PRE-SCREEN children prior to coming to school and please keep children home if they are not feeling well.
SJS is a NUT "cautious" Facility This means that your child MAY have nut items in the classroom or cafeteria setting. Students with nut allergies will have a designated seating area (at the end of each lunch table, with their class). At this time our PK4 classroom will remain NUT FREE. If you have any questions please contact us at 401-821-3450 to speak to our school nurse.
Medications This year St. Joseph School is asking any child that needs to have medication administered or held for an emergency at school, to provide the school appropriate documentation along with the proper forms. This includes any OVER THE COUNTER medications for chronic illness, including allergies as well as any medications your child is self carrying. Medication should be in the original package/bottle. Also. please make sure medication has not expired. For any questions or concerns, please contact Meg Garrett, RN at[email protected].
Please hand in the following medication release documents to the school nurse for proper administration medication:
