Pumpkin Fun Inside & Out

10/28/2015

Today in Pre-k we explored pumpkins, both inside and out! The following dialogue occurred between a few of our friends...notice all of the learning that's happening: language development and vocabulary, scientific processes, cause and effect, fine-motor control, relating to others, sequence, change and causality, number concepts as well as cognitive development!

Brynn:"This pumpkin is so hard!"
Noah:"But it's not for me. Oh, look my seeds float!"
Brynn:" I have 16 seeds."
Brayden:"No, there are 100 seeds in there!"
Jacob:" I have 100 seeds, too Brayden!"
Brynn:" I'm going to put water on my pumpkin!"
Noah: "Me too!"
Brayden:"Me too! Hey, now it's all wet!"
Brynn:"Yeah, but now it's softer!"
Brayden: "Yeah, now it's more softer so, I can cut it!"
Kylie: "Mines's softer too, so now I can use these (jumbo tweezers)!"
